Last updated: July 9, 2026
Acceptance
By accessing or using the CertShield platform at certshield.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Service Description
CertShield provides a web-based certification tracking and alerting service for property management professionals. The Service allows you to manage staff certifications, receive automated expiration reminders, and monitor compliance status across one or more communities. CertShield is offered in free and paid subscription tiers as described on the pricing page at certshield.com/#pricing.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Service to track certifications for individuals without their knowledge or consent
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent certification data
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise make the Service available to third parties without our written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these acceptable use requirements.
No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Certification reminders are a tool to assist with compliance — receipt of a reminder does not guarantee regulatory compliance, and you are responsible for ensuring your staff certifications meet all applicable legal requirements.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CertShield and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the United States, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
